What makes a Halloween piece collectible
Three things separate a collectible from a decoration, and they are worth recognizing before you spend the money.
It is made in a run, not in a warehouse. Collectible Halloween lines are produced for one season in set quantities. When the run sells through, it is not remade. That is why a design you liked last October is often only available secondhand this year, usually at a higher price.
The finishing is done by hand. Costume fabric, applied trim, hand-painted faces. It is the reason two pieces from the same design are never quite identical, and the reason they photograph well up close.
It is built at a size that does something to a room. A three-foot figure by a doorway changes the room. A six-inch one does not. Scale is most of what you are paying for.
Katherine's Collection, the theatrical one
If you have seen a Halloween display that made you stop and look, there is a good chance it was Katherine's Collection. The line is built around character: candy containers with faces you remember, ledge sitters with their legs hanging off a shelf, candelabras, door knockers and dolls that stand over three feet tall.
The range runs from playful to properly macabre. Candy corn characters and oversized novelty drinks sit alongside skulls, crows, coffin cabinets and witches. Most collectors pick a direction and build within it, because the pieces are designed to work as a scene rather than as single objects.

Mark Roberts, the one you see from the doorway
Mark Roberts works at a different scale. Most of our Mark Roberts range is Halloween, and it is built for the spot by the front door or at the end of a hallway where a small figure would simply disappear.
The Halloween pieces cover witches in full costume, skeleton sets, flying monkeys, cats on pumpkins and pumpkin master figures, in sizes from tabletop up to large floor-standing designs. The finishing leans on jewels, beading and applied detail, which is what gives the pieces their weight on a display.
The line carries on past October as well, into Thanksgiving harvest designs and a Coastal Christmas collection, so a display can run from September through December in one style. The Mark Roberts range is where to start.
Disney Showcase and the Haunted Mansion
For collectors who want Halloween without the horror, Disney Showcase has built a set around The Haunted Mansion, and specifically around the attraction's stretching portraits. The Quicksand Men and the Dynamite Gentleman are two of four in that series, each a portrait figurine at 7.9 inches, hand crafted in stone resin and officially licensed by the Walt Disney Company.
They are designed as a set. One looks good, four tells the joke properly, and the series is the sort of thing collectors regret splitting up later. Both ship in September 2026.

When to order if you want a specific piece
This is the part people get wrong, and it costs them the piece.
The good Halloween designs sell out in summer. Manufacturers announce months ahead, we order against what customers reserve, and the popular designs are gone long before October. If you are reading this in August and planning for October, you are already at the late end of comfortable.
Pre-orders are how the system works. Reserving a piece is the only reliable way to get a specific design. Pre-orders are non-refundable, and ship dates come from the manufacturer, so a piece can arrive up to a month earlier or a month later than listed. We do not accept cancellations more than 48 hours after an order is placed, because we order units specifically against what customers reserve.

Collectible Halloween decor is fragile and, at these prices, worth checking. We open and inspect every figure before it ships rather than forwarding a sealed box, and we apply a Covert Authentication Mark during that inspection. It is a non-visible, UV-reactive mark that verifies the original point of sale.
